Get down on my level and listen,
and please—no procrastination!
Your granite cave a hiding place,
your high cliff aerie a place of safety.
3-5 You're my cave to hide in,
my cliff to climb.
Be my safe leader,
be my true mountain guide.
Free me from hidden traps;
I want to hide in you.
I've put my life in your hands.
You won't drop me,
you'll never let me down.
6-13 I hate all this silly religion,
but you, God, I trust.
I'm leaping and singing in the circle of your love;
you saw my pain,
you disarmed my tormentors,
You didn't leave me in their clutches
but gave me room to breathe.
Be kind to me, God—
I'm in deep, deep trouble again.
I've cried my eyes out;
I feel hollow inside.
My life leaks away, groan by groan;
my years fade out in sighs.
My troubles have worn me out,
turned my bones to powder.
To my enemies I'm a monster;
I'm ridiculed by the neighbors.
My friends are horrified;
they cross the street to avoid me.
They want to blot me from memory,
forget me like a corpse in a grave,
discard me like a broken dish in the trash.
The street-talk gossip has me
"criminally insane"!
Behind locked doors they plot
how to ruin me for good.
14-18 Desperate, I throw myself on you:
you are my God!
Hour by hour I place my days in your hand,
safe from the hands out to get me.
Warm me, your servant, with a smile;
save me because you love me.
Don't embarrass me by not showing up;
I've given you plenty of notice.
Embarrass the wicked, stand them up,
leave them stupidly shaking their heads
as they drift down to hell.
Gag those loudmouthed liars
who heckle me, your follower,
with jeers and catcalls.
19-22 What a stack of blessing you have piled up for those who
worship you,
Ready and waiting for all who run to you
to escape an unkind world.
You hide them safely away
from the opposition.
As you slam the door on those oily, mocking faces,
you silence the poisonous gossip.
Blessed GOD!
His love is the wonder of the world.
Trapped by a siege, I panicked.
"Out of sight, out of mind," I said.
But you heard me say it,
you heard and listened.
23 Love GOD, all you saints;
GOD takes care of all who stay close to him,
But he pays back in full
those arrogant enough to go it alone.
24 Be brave. Be strong. Don't give up.
Expect God to get here soon.

God, I turn to you, yeah, even run to you when I am
feeling overwhelmed or overtaken by life.
Lord to you I turn when money seems to be missing in action and the
bills aren’t. Be there for me. Help me! Lord, help me to remember
that you are a safe haven. In You, God, I can find peace, if I remember
that you have placed me in a safe place and are seeking to protect
me.
Lord, in you I can hide from the world and all that seems to be
overtaking me. You know, those traps set for me at work or when
I drive. Lord please forgive me for I tend to speed a bit, but I
thank you for keeping me safe in all my travels. You have me rested
in the palm of your hand, well protected from all that tries to
get me down.
Hey God, there are many people with many beliefs trying to influence
my life, But I know that you God, Lord are the solution. If I seek
you out, if I trust in you, I much to celebrate. You have few rules
– Love you and love all others as you do, unconditionally.
Thank you for your love. Help me to love everyone as you love them.
God you see my troubles, You understand my doubts, those doubts
about myself, my life, my directions in life. You know my fears.
You know that at times I question all I do, wondering if I have
let others distract me from You. But thru all the worries, thru
all the days activates and distractions, I come home to you each
night.
Enemies – I am sure I have them, but you will protect me.
I worry not about them or their attacks. What can they do that you
can not thwart?
God I bow at your feet, I know you are here for me, I know that
I am at your mercy, but You are full of mercy. I have placed my
life in Your hands; You have been there for me, even when others
don’t always understand my reasons for my actions. It is You
that I seek to please; it is You, Lord, that I want to trust You,
letting You show Your power. Show them that I have not lost my mind
by letting someone live here as they wait for Your provisions. Make
them see Your Power to provide and bless.
You have blessed me in many ways. I have lacked for nothing. May
everyone see You God as a provider and a safe place to hide. I am
overjoyed that I know You and worship You. Yes Lord, I have been
known to panic when it seemed that there was trouble about to overtake
me, but Bless God, You have known, you have heard me and You have
blessed me. Praise GOD for You provide beyond my highest expectations.
Hey, everyone, Love God, all who believe in God, trust God, Rely
on God to provide for you, and you will be rewarded. Remember try
to meet your needs by yourself, with your own efforts – you
will fail, Only with God on your side will you succeed.
Be brave. Be strong. Don't give up.
Expect God to be on your side.
