ATLANTA-Gentle Spirit Christian Church announced today a class designed to help the community better understand "spiritual gifts" what they are and how they work within the faith will take place February 16th 10am till 1:00pm at 1561 McLendon Avenue NE. This class is open and free to the GLBTQ community.
This location is Epworth United Methodist Church and the class will be in the education building in the "Historical Room"
The class will be taught by Rev. Paul M. Turner, Sr. Pastor of the church and Deacon Robert Shaw. The class is designed to help gays lesbians, Bi, and transgendered folks understand the basis for spiritual gifts, what they are, who gets them, how they come about in a persons life and how are they used.
Rev. Turner states, "Jesus promised to send us a comforter, to teach us, guide us and help us; I believe that the spiritual gifts we experience are a result of that promise."
The workshop is open and free to the public.
